NISER Project Clerk Recruitment 2024: Applications are invited from Indian nationals for one temporary position of Project Clerk under the IOP-NISER Vigyan Pratibha Project, Odisha Chapter funded by DAE, Govt. of India.
Job Description : The project aims at nurturing scientific and mathematics aptitude among school students of Class 8- 12 The work requires strong academic competence, the ability to interact with teachers and students in schools (urban, rural, and tribal), and sensitivity toward the learning needs of students from diverse backgrounds in the country. The candidate is expected to assist in the development and standardization of innovative educational material through literature study, teacher-training workshops, school visits, cluster meets, and laboratory experimentation. The person is also expected to provide academic support to teachers via school visits and social media.

Salary Details
The above position is purely temporary for a period initially up to one year from the date of hiring (extendable annually up to three or four more years based on the performanceof the candidate) or completion of the project, whichever is earlier and strictly co-terminus with the project. It would, therefore, not confer any right/ claim, implicit or explicit, for consideration/ absorption against any NISER post.

Educational Qualification
The candidates should have a Graduate degree in any discipline with minimum aggregate of 60% marks or equivalent CGPA from a recognized institution with minimum one-year relevant experience as a clerk or equivalent.
Desirable: Basic knowledge of standard word processing such as MS Office, etc.; good proficiency in English language and writing skills. The candidate must be fluent in Odia language (as the job requirement needs travel to rural areas). The candidate should have proficiency in computer skills, documentation, and social media. The candidate should be able to work independently, should be willing to travel to even remote areas of the country and provide support to teachers and students in different capacities. Basic knowledge of scientific lab upkeep, record keeping, and report preparation.
